Detailed Overview
IVM ENGINEERING Disc Check Valves feature a wafer type, compact and rugged Cast Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel design and are suitable for any process liquid, air, gas, steam etc. The Single Disc Check Valve (Wafer Type Disc Check Valve) consists of four main components: the body, a disc, a star guide and a spring. The Disc check valves are opened by the pressure of fluid and closed through compression spring as soon as flow stops thus preventing reverse flow.
The design of Wafer Design, Sandwich Type Single Disc Spring Loaded Check Valves allows them to be installed between any flanges of different standard and in any position; including vertical pipelines where the fluid flows downwards. Wafer Type Spring Loaded Single Disc Check Valves is also available with Zero Leakage by the use of Soft Seat.
Disc Check Valve Special Features
- Compact & Rugged Design
- Easy To Installation between Two Pipe Flanges
- Maintenance Free Design
- Shorter Length, Required minimum space
- Zero Leakage (In Soft Seat)
- Full Port Opening
Key Features
- Flow Direction : Disc check valves are designed to allow flow in one direction only, preventing backflow and protecting pumps and other equipment.
- Disc Mechanism : The valve features a disc (or flap) that moves on a pivot or hinge. This disc opens when fluid flows in the forward direction and closes when there’s no flow or reverse flow, creating a seal.
- Material Construction : Common materials for disc check valves include brass, stainless steel, and PVC, depending on the application, pressure, and temperature requirements.
- Durability : The construction materials and design enhance durability, making them suitable for various applications, including water, oil, gas, and other industrial fluids.
- Installation Flexibility: : Disc check valves can usually be installed in any orientation, providing versatility in system design.
